John is an experienced and highly professional DOP with a true passion for challenging projects. He is based in the UK, works globally on TV drama and feature films.

John's latest feature film "Father of Flies" premiered at Screamfest Festival in Los Angeles and won the Buenos Aires International Film Festival for Best Film. Starring Camila Rutherford and Michael Tucci, critical acclaim included: “Visually the film is stunning, providing shot after shot of a cool, crisp, feminine aesthetic”

Most recently John has worked as 2nd Unit DOP on Netflix’s "Supercell" and SKY’s "A Town Called Malice"

John began his career in Madrid and studied at the Escuela de Cine y Televisión de Madrid Séptima Ars. He started filming international news and sporting events, documentaries and TV commercials. John then moved into TV drama and feature films, based in London he worked as a camera operator on high end TV drama and features before progressing to a Director of Photography.

Feature documentary “Quant” Directed by Sadie Frost was selected for the BFI London Film Festival and described by the Telegraph as “A sleek and stylish portrait of the woman who changed a generation”, giving it 4 Stars.

Music Promo “Wanted More” by artist “Betsy" for Warner Music and Black Dog Films / Ridley Scott Associates was voted by V Magazine 2nd best music video of the year after Kanye West and ahead of Lady Gaga.

Having a passion for the arts, from the Classics to Avant-garde, John has a love for working and travelling internationally and speaks fluent Spanish.

John holds both EU and UK passports.
